Introduction to the proposal
The cocktail bar (Formerly the SkyBar) on the 48th floor has been empty since early in the Pandemic and Ballymore are about to turn it along with the 2 floors below into flats during the summer of 2022. While the cocktail bar was never a residents only facility and has always been commercially run, recent buildings such as Wardian and South Quay Plaza have show that residents only facilities can be viable.
In addition there are 3 large used terraces on the 49th floor which could be incorporated into the existing space to make a facility which would rival any nearby, and with a mixed use space for working and socialising and which could provide a substantial increase in both property values and attractiveness for tenants.
We would like to propose to Ballymore about using this space as a residents facility backed by residents and leaseholders in the form of a survey and a recommendation.
Your support is needed to move this forward, without your votes we cannot take this to Ballymore and will lose the facility forever. We hope you can find the time to follow the steps below and vote in the survey to ensure we save the SkyBar space.
Why do you need to register? We need to be able to ensure the integrity of the voting process by capturing your logged in details which had your apartment and if you are tenant or leaseholder to make sure the vote is representative of the whole community.
Do you still have questions? We will hold a session in the cinema on Wed 27th April at 19:00 to go over all the information on this page and to answer any questions. And we will be following up with drinks in Capeesh after at 20:30 for any residents that want to meet their neighbours.
